Or go Ol School and have people take the pix with their phone and upload them to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Hashtag #Delish or #Mycrepe or #DIYcrepe or #Crepecreation or #CrepeHI/NY/LA  Just make sure it’s easy.  Use one simple hashtag and no @ signs or other hoops to jump through.

How to get your own QR Code and how to move it places

qrcode

Well, you are already here reading this, thus it doesn’t make much sense that the QR code is here.  But what I wanted to let you know is how I achieved getting my QR code.  All I did was asked my Web Master “How can I get this on to my blog”.  Here is what he told me to do  if you would like your QR code on your Blog.

1.  Go to “how to get a QR code on Google”  and then click on QRCode.kaywa.com

2. Type in your web address

3. Click on the code not the picture of the code and press:  Control A (All) then control C (Copy)

4.  Open up your blog and here is the tricky part-Don’t go to visual, switch over to HTML, then press Control V (Paste) and then go to Visual and you will see it.

5. Lesson learned-Its much easier to ask someone who knows more about something then you do.  Before this all I had on here was a bunch of crazy HTML code in pink.  And I spent about half an hour to do that! Once I asked how to do this it took less than 4 minutes!!  Thanks To Robz Y for the Help on getting this QR code on to my blog.  Yeah!!!

Social Media Tips for Small Buisness’

I had the pleasure to see Social Media Guru Dan Zelikman talk a couple of weeks ago at the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Event. It was at Dan’s first Social Media Seminar that I first heard of Foursquare, now 12 badges later, i had the chance to hear what’s new in Social Media. This was a Seminar for Small Business’ in Hawaii. Dan currently works at Civilbeat.com- Hawaii’s on-line only newspaper. and you can find him at danzelikman.com Here are the Highlights:

Content is KING
Engagement is QUEEN
You need BOTH to make things work well
Dont do one way conversations, make sure you engage your audience in a two-way communication
Context-Stay Relevent and Human
Brand Voice and Consistency are key
Variety is good
Listen first, then share.
Social Media is a marketing Tool not a Miracle..but it’s a great Marketing Tool

Here are some helpful areas that Dan Recommends for starters:
Tumblr.com
wordpress.com
(Here)
Flickr.com
Justin.TV
youtube.com
LinkdIn
wefollow.com
– Type in something that interests you and follow and watch them and see how they do it. Then take tips from them and do your own.
